Real Emotions: Thinking in Film

The thematic exhibition REAL EMOTIONS: THINKING IN FILM is devoted to affects and emotions in the moving image. It explores the question of how films shape its audience's collective experiences and individual fantasies, thus practically influencing our view of the world. Alongside an archive of over 70 excerpts depicting emotions in film, it presents works by artists who use the medium's tools to produce “real” emotions.

Artists: Chantal Akerman, Ed Atkins and Simon Martin, Sue de Beer, Harry Dodge and Stanya Kahn, Loretta Fahrenholz, Christian Jankowski, Jesper Just, Peter Roehr, Roee Rosen, John Smith, Mark Wallinger
