On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the so called November Revolution or German Revolution, during which Germany transformed itself from a monarchist authoritarian state into a parliamentary democracy, the Berlin art space Haus am Lützowplatz presents an exhibition of six contemporary artists. The works were selected in regard to the historical narrative, wich is connected to basic values such as the introduction of women's suffrage and the freedom of speech, but also with the violent conflict of the German left and the subsequent failure of the first German Republic. The exhibition project is not about the illustration of history, but about the creation of a resonant space between past and present in which the visitors locate themselves as critical contemporaries.
