Nepantla Bibliothek #7: Borderlands

A workshop with Laia Ribera Cañénguez
The workshop Borderlands is based on Anzaldúa’s method of building knowledge production on one’s own experience and on her understanding of border as a space that allows opposites, binaries, paradoxes and contradictions – which coexist within us and bring about constant change – to be brought together.
Through writing exercises, we explore the question: What does it mean for each of us to live in the Borderlands? With movement exercises we will generate everyday movement sequences. From fragments of the interwoven text and movement sequences, we create a collective “poem” that manifests itself in the form of a performative intervention in the America Memorial Library.

hosted by District Berlin at the Salon der Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek, Blücherplatz 1, 10961 Berlin
