Space oddity explores our actuals modes of representations of space.
Through a series of sketches and oils paintings, Natacha Mankowski tries to engage in news ways of thinking the built. From her architectural backgroung, she uses modeling, 3D representation or photo-montage to develop the possibilities of the traditional medium of painting.
Far away from the expected architectural representations made of blue skies and happy faces, she enhances the qualities of the space itself: materials, forms, pattern… to translate the passage of man through space.
Between fantasies and real world representations, the paintings recall the experience of spaces associated to entertainment.
