Jen Ray

Haus am Lützowplatz presents the first institutional solo exhibition of Berlin-based American artist Jen Ray (*1970). Her large-format colored drawings impress with their obsessively meticulous execution and are characterized by motifs from a variety of pop-culture sources. Women are the center of attention, whose power, beauty and cruelty are presented in the midst of an abysmal fantasy world. In beguiling poses, Jen Ray’s vigilant Amazons celebrate their victory over patriarchy.
