The exhibition at CIRCLE1 presents a number of German and Israeli as well as Berlin based artists in the context of a cultural dialogue. The works of the exhibiting artists illuminate varied perspectives of an object or matter, as it is exemplarily shown in the title and the opening date of the show: ‘Friday, the 13th’ and in particular the number ‘13’ is interpreted as an unlucky number, or even a lucky number depending on the cultural background and historical context. Within the meaning of the title the exhibition deals with different ways of interpretation of certain cultural, political as well as artistic, formal phenomena, with contradictions, paradoxes and contrastive pairs.
