Everything new, but everything good?

The simplicity and spirit of optimism is already bygone.
The new metamorphose of the city seems to be ubiquitous and confirms the quote about Berlin:
it is condemned to always be changing and never stay still.
For a few years now, photogapher Anja Gersmann follows the process of the urban change and finds places which are changing every day. We see localities of ordinariness, immediate vicinity and inconspiciuous backstreets. The pictures seem to catch the faded sense of life and the facades reflecting the changes of the inner life back to the outside.
The process and transformation give rise to the question: multifaced or one-sided? standardized or free? gentle or brutal? With each other or even against each other?
And last but not least: Everything is new, but is it also satisfying?
Since the german reunification, Anja Gersmann lives and works in Berlin.
