Bilderbuch Deutschland: Der kalte Krieg

Bilderbuch Deutschland: Der kalte Krieg

As a continuation of the theme of western German aesthetics, which started with the filmscreening  "west germany - a swansong", Gitte Bohr invites to yet another collage of film clips and commentary, this time the focus is on the aesthetics of the Cold War. West Germany was particulary marked by its geopolitical and strategic situation under the constant threat of being at the core of an eventual surrogate war, waged by the two superpowers.  The tense situation at the height of the nuclear stalemate, as well as an ongoing propaganda war, marked German image production. Gitte Bohr will give you an introduction to this selection at "West Germany" (Skalitzer Str. 133), where else?
