Transartfest - Ensemble Xenon @ Supermarkt

It is not a good idea to come late to an alternative music performance where audience become a part of it because in this case you won´t, and maybe (my case) you will not understand and enjoy it as you could as a participant. So as a late coming visitor I really like the idea of involving people to the „game“ but as a non-involved viewer my attention was more turned into „wierd yellow instalation“ in the back part of the room than into a sound of ripping paper…(E)

The music was a decent-sounding cacophony though (maybe cacophony is not the right word - apologies to the music community - but it certainly was somewhere on that path) and the element of surprise is always welcome. The feeling of not knowing what exactly is going on was in fact quite fun. (A)

Dissident Desire #4 @ District

Visiting District felt like being at my studying city where old factory buildings found new purpose as places where "the art breathes". The colored sunset gave a nice atmosphere to the industrial surroundings and I liked how chambered it was. I really liked an empty room where a red scarf was flying through three big screens and constantly attacking male body and my mind. (E)

Instead of saying a word or two about eroticism as a theme of the exhibition, the artists agreed on simply suggesting everybody to think for 10 seconds about it. In a room full of people someone started to think out loud, which somehow obliged the others to do the same. Probably the worst place for such drinking game type of confessions and the unexpected akwardness that suddenly condensed the air. (A)

While catching the phone signal around District (it´s a tough life outside Ringbahn) I missed the performance, for which I heard that it was awful and awesome in one minute time span. (A)
