18.00 Refuge with Fred P, Objekt, Palms Trax, Barker & Baumecker... @ About Blank

WHY: A great party with an even better cause – About Blank is  hosting a fundraiser party in aid of Berlin-based refugee groups. All proceeds from the event will go to Moabit hilft!, and Rathaus Wilmersdorf - charities and shelters in Berlin working to provide support for refugees. Those attending the event are also encouraged to donate urgently needed items upon entry to the club, including winter clothes, shoes, toys and toiletries.

22.00 Zebra Katz x Leila + Suicideyear + Ghettozoid & Criese (b2b) @ OHM Berlin

WHY: The brand new collaboration between Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist and hip hop raconteur Zebra Katz and Warp signed DJ, artist and producer Leila has recently set the internet alight. Their first EP, “Nu Renegade”, is a dark and powerful compilation that layers growling rap lyrics over trap and bass inspired electronica. Joining them at Ohm will be Suicideyear who was recently touted as “arguably the year’s most influential producer without a major label placement” by Fader Magazine.

22.00 Grand Jete @ OHM Berlin

WHY: Grand Jete music series hosts this time live show by Kyoka, a musician/composer known for her chaotic and direct musical approach and a heavy-rough sound, resulting in a broken pop-beat with experimental yet danceable rhythms. In addition to the live show, expect DJ set by Ultraviolett whose styles vary from glitch, detroit beatdown, raw house to bouncy acidish brighton techno and bass music. 23.00 Laurel Halo album release show @ OHM Berlin

 

WHY: Laurel Halo is releasing a new double ep on Honest Jon’s records, out on September 28th, called “In Situ”. Album release party will take place at OHM, with a live set by Laurel Halo, alongside a specially curated line up she has done just for the night, including sets by Mo Probs, JM Moser and Sarah Miles.

20.00 Kiezsalon w/ Tomaga + Grischa Lichtenberger  @ Musikbrauerei

WHY: From April till October  the Kiezsalon was an interface between pop music and avant-garde, presenting compact performances by artists from diverse genres, origin and popularity. This Saturday one of the last Kiezsalon evenings will take place with live acts by Tomaga and Grischa Lichtenberger. Before and after: special performances by Plants and empire, and Construction Sounds by Schneider TM with Tomoko Nakasato.

WHY: Markus Popp aka Oval returns to the Volksbühne’s Roter Salon for a live show. A pioneer of of glitch and clicks & cuts, he continues to be one of the most prolific and influential forces in contemporary electronic music, with an undeniable instinct for the pleasantly irritating, the drastic and the dreamy. 21.00 Destruction Unit + DIÄT @ Bei Ruth

WHY: Destruction Unit is the loudest, darkest, intertwined-test live band to probably ever be associated with rocknroll-garage-Jay Reatard-kinda punk. Their new album is called "Negative Feedback Resistor" and was yet again released on Sacred Bones Records. DIÄT is Australian/German coldpunkcore band based in Berlin. Their shows are said to be impossibly energetic - hence the title of their newly released album, "Positive Energy", on Berlin-based label Adagio830.
