WHY: Your Government is the new art-rock outfit of Mary Ocher joined by 2 virtuoso drummers, Oliver Rivera-Drew and Stefan Widdess. Expect a sub-religious experience with the spirits of the ancients,in an audio-visual explosion of cult futuristic rock&roll, with the queen outsider of Berlin Avant-Pop exploring the depths of forbidden tribal electronic ecstasies. Support band Ya Tosiba is a Berlin-based duo producing bass-heavy riddims with energetic female vocals.

WHY: On top of the usual deal - music + beer + free mexicaners - this Wednesday Shameless/Limitless introduces a new chapter, and for the first time presents an art exhibition. "Blue Drinks" is a compilation of works by David Addison, who you might have already noticed as a frequent S/L poster maker. 19.00 Heroines of Sound @ Radialsystem V

WHY: "Heroines of Sound" presents past and current electronic artists from 12 different countries. Over the span of three days, this cross-genre festival will fill the stages of RADIALSYSTEM V with concerts, sound art, performances, installations and podium discussions. The festival makes compositions by female electronic music pioneers accessible to the broad public and shows the connections between the composers of current contemporary music and electronic performance.

19.00 Kosmostage @ Radialsystem V

WHY: The 2nd edition of the Kosmostage Festival brings an explosion of energy, music, and playfulness crossing all manner of genres. Centred around a highlight collaboration with Brazilian jazz legend Hermeto Pascoal, and including an appearance by Mouse on Mars, the festival programme takes shape as a sonic cascade that explores both indoor and outdoor spaces of Radialsystem V. Among the featured artists are Els Vandeweyer, The Notwist drummer Andi Haberl with his own project Sun, Ensemble Adapter, Oferi Consort, and Lanaya.

WHY: Cranky Booking brings Cranky Fest to Kantine am Berghain for the fifth edition in three years, and provides the usual mix of Berlin-based indie bands who are joined this year by some guests from London and Tel-Aviv. It promises to be a wonderful summer evening of great music, which will go on with What Difference Does It Make DJ Team catering for all your dancing needs.

16.00 A Happening... @ Funkhaus Berlin

WHY: "A Happening..." is a day festival of rare performances, located in an acoustical diamond, the Funkhaus Berlin Nalepastrasse. Performances include a duet from icelandic musicians Hildur Gudnadóttir and Jóhann Jóhannsson, FS Blumm, Peter Broderick, Martyn Heyne, and Deaf Center. Check out some of the finest experimental, ambient, and classical musicians collaborate with each other and the space. Arrive from 16h to indulge in culinary delights and record shopping, with performances beginning early evening.
