WHY: Tortoise are back with a new album, “The Catastrophist“, after nearly seven years of silence. The new material, exciting as ever, cemented the reputation of Tortoise as one of the most influential bands of the last two decades. This time in Berlin they will be sharing the stage with  Cavern of Anti-Matter.

WHY: Digital in Berlin presents the premiere live performance of a special new collaboration between two great musicians: the Japanese classically trained guitarist Takeshi Nishimoto and Christoph Berg aka Field Rotation. While they are still working on recordings for their first release together, they will reveal an exclusive insight of their combined sound this Saturday at Spektrum.

WHY: ACUD Backyard Summer offers the perfect Wednesday chill with music, food & drinks. This time with live show by Long-Sam, and Jaakko Eino Kalevi DJing. Long-Sam's dreamy style ranges from atonal sounds to pop melodies; he's flirting with aesthetic of techno & experimental music while embracing the beauty of classic synth-pop hits. Jaakko is a multi-instrumentalist with omnivorous musical taste, who combines synth-pop, folk, funk, and psych-rock into trippy experimental pop.

WHY: Deaf Wish is an Australian and a very Sub Pop Records band, sounding like a combination of Sonic Youth, Stooges and Hüsker Dü.
