Gallery Weekend Tips: Artful Dining in Berlin

Gallery Weekend Tips: Artful Dining in Berlin

In Berlin, when we talk about Gallery Weekend we often talk about survival of the fittest; sometimes quite literally. The event gathers about 50 galleries in about 50 hours, plus countless other venues joining with special programs throughout the entire week. After the intense day-long gallery hopping, a nice meal and a nice drink is the kind of craving you will likely experience, and respond to, one way or another. To prevent you from desperately yelping every 'Imbiss' on the way, we have put together a list of places that offer that little extra je ne sais quoi, just slightly bit more than Mustafa's Kebab. Three special pop-up dinners + three brand new / art-inspired / artist-run spots + chocolate haven for your greatest pleasure. Bon Appetit

Oskar Melzer, previously part of the Mogg & Melzer duo which for years served the best pastrami sandwiches to the hungy galleryhoppers in Auguststrasse, recently opened a new place in Kreuzberg. This pretty little deli is inspired by David Hockney and Palm Springs Modernism and favored by those who enjoy restaurants with an arty vibe.
